Taig Micro Mill with MAXNC Servo Control
My biggest concern was the small size of the mill, but after looking at many different ones, it seems like the mid size mills are pretty expensive, and still take up a considerable amount of space. I only have a 20 x 20 garage which is pretty loaded with tools already. So the smaller size was starting to look attractive.

The stepper motors & 2000 controller transfer went well. Please note that this senior has very little experience & less familiarity with CNC & Mach 3, at this time.

This is the complete CNC ready mill with the ballscrew upgrade, it does not include stepper motors or a control box. This is a good option if you want to by the basic computer ready mill and build up your own stepper motors and control box. If you currently have a Taig 2019CR-ER based leadscrew mill this would also be an upgrade path.

Should I buy a Taig mill? What servos do you suggest?
If it can push an end mill through aluminum at a reasonable rate then it should fit my needs just fine. I've seen a lot of people cutting aluminum with them on youtube and the results always look terrible but I'm pretty certain they don't know what they're doing. Advice on buying Taig mill for use with Linuxcnc
Deepgroove claimed backlash on the 2019CR (leadscrew) is 0.0001" and on the 5019CR (ballscrew) it's zero. Do these match others experiences. 0.0001" seems too good to believe and would seem to undermine the existence of the more expensive ballscrew version.
